Save the Date!

Friday, September 16 is going to be an exciting day in the life of Into the Field and you're not going to want to miss it!
Wm. Paul Young, author of New York Times Best Seller The Shack, will be speaking at Into the Field's first ever fundraising breakfast. This book, which began as a copy-shop printed, spiral bound book written for his children has taken a life of its own and is providing a forum for conversations of faith and life around the world.
Tickets will go on sale soon! Why not pull together a group of friends to read and discuss the book, and then join us on September 16 to hear from it's author!

Happy Independence Day!
|
|
With the 4th of July only a few days, we want to take a quick moment to pause and remember that this holiday is about more than parades and fireworks. It is about a group of committed individuals who stood up for what they believe in; who risked their lives to ensure that their families - and those yet-to-be born - would have the hopes of a better life; who took a stand against those who would oppress them.
On this Independence Day, we want to say THANK YOU to all those - in the past, the present, and in the future who have and will put their lives on the line in order that we might enjoy the freedoms that we do. The gift of their lives and sacrifice is not one that should be taken lightly nor for granted. There are many around the world who risk their lives to come to our great country, and many here who have forgotten what makes us great.
May God bless those who stand on guard to serve and protect us, and may God bless the USA!

Something to Consider...

"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another."

Years ago, Pastor Dave warned me. He told me to be prepared to bite my tongue and not share every last detail about my feelings and experiences; That sometimes people were only being polite when they ask how my trip to China went. But when you know that God is up to something BIG and that individuals can make a huge difference in the lives of others, how can you be compelled to share?
Visit my blog for some of my additional thoughts about this.
Pray big...believe big...big things happen!
