Serving the servants around the corner and around the world

Tee to Benefit the Haiti!

We have a great opportunity to make a great impact!  Wild Olive Tees (yes, I'm a huge fan and you've read about them before - now I'm an even BIGGER fan) has designed a special t-shirt for which all proceeds will be going to benefit Haiti.  And if that wasn't great enough, they've designated Eyes Wide Open International (remember them?  A fabulous ministry that Into the Field is working with) as the ministry through which the funds will flow to the kids!  Not only will the purchase of your shirt benefit the kids, but you can also purchase a shirt to be donated to one of the orphans there!  Eyes Wide Open International will be taking another trip to Haiti in March and will be delivering some of the shirts then!

So go now and buy a shirt!  Get one for yourself, get one for your kids, get one for the kids in Haiti!  How cool would it be to see pictures on the evening news with Haitian kids and adults running around wearing t-shirts sporting scripture on their shirts?  Spread the word!!!

The Into the Field Servant Fund
Into the Field has setup the "Into the Field Servant Fund" at the Columbus Stewardship Foundation (CSF).  This enables Into the Field to receive non-cash gifts - such as stock, property, etc.  If you would like to learn more about how you can make these donations, please contact us or Jennifer Dutka at the CSF.

"Does the Bible Provide an Adequate Answer to the Problem of Suffering?"

On April 15 this age-old question will be debated by Dr. Michael L. Brown and Dr. Bart D. Ehrman at "The Great Debate"

Both Dr. Brown and Dr. Ehrman are scholars and authors, and will provide an evening and atmosphere of probing questions and dialogue.  The event will be held at the Ohio Union on the campus of The Ohio State University from 7-9:30p (doors open at 6:30p) and is free to the public.  We would love to have you join us!

Orphan World Relief at SuperGames!
If your kids are like many that we know, they have some extra energy stored up from being inside and are in great need of letting it all out.  Sound familiar?

This Friday, March 5, you have the opportunity to not only give your kids an outlet to run, bounce, and have fun; for you to let them do so somewhere other than on your living room couch; and to help orphans around the world at the same time!

From 6-9p, SuperGames will serve as the location for an evening to benefit Orphan World Relief.  For only $7 per child, they can moon bounce and play on other giant inflatables.  Pizza and pop will be available for purchase.

Doug Riggle, Executive Director of Orphan World Relief often says, "Children Need You."  Will you and your children respond?  Why not do so and have fun at the same time?

Something to Consider...

"For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him."
Philippians 2:13

People of Action

At times it can be very overwhelming to me to see all of the need and hurting in the world.  It makes me wonder if there is anything that I as an individual can do to make a difference, what impact can I have?  As I was thinking about this and feeling, well, insignificant, the story of the little boy and the starfish came to mind.  Those who know me well will tell you I'm not a great storyteller, but here's my take on it.

A little boy and an old man were walking down a beach.  Occasionally the boy would bend down, pick up a starfish, and toss it back in the water.  After watching him for a period of time, the old man said to the boy, "Why are you doing that? There are so many!  You can't make a difference!".  With that, the little boy bent down, picked up another one, tossed it back in the water, and replied, "I made a difference to that one."
